CS2 Float Value Explained — Why It Matters for Skin Prices
What Is Float Value in CS2?
Every CS2 skin has a float value — a decimal number between 0.00 and 1.00 that determines its visual wear condition. Lower float = cleaner skin = higher value.
Float Value Ranges
- 0.00 – 0.07: Factory New (FN)
- 0.07 – 0.15: Minimal Wear (MW)
- 0.15 – 0.38: Field-Tested (FT)
- 0.38 – 0.45: Well-Worn (WW)
- 0.45 – 1.00: Battle-Scarred (BS)
Why Float Matters for Price
Two Factory New skins can have very different prices. A 0.001 float AK-47 Redline is worth significantly more than a 0.069 float one, even though both are "Factory New." Collectors pay premiums for:
- 0.00x floats — top-tier FN skins.
- Lowest known float — the absolute cleanest version of a skin.
- Boundary floats — e.g., 0.0699 (just barely FN).
How to Check Float Value
You can check float values using:
- Steam inspect link + float checkers online
- Browser extensions (CSFloat, SIH)
- When selling on daro.skin, we show float values for each skin in your inventory.
